For the third year in a row Valente Yeast Co. has achieved a Superior Rating with a score over 99% in its HACCP Good Distribution Practices audit.   The audit inspects Valente’s adherence to rigorous food safety and food handling requirements and covers receiving. storage, repacking and shipping of food items.

Valente President, Bob Chory, spent Wednesday May 11th with students at NYC’s Food and Finance high school.  At the school Bob taught the students how to make pretzels for their upcoming Spring Student Showcase which was focused on NYC street foods.

Valente provided the ingredients for their own warehouse for the students to use in the classroom and also for their student showcase.

The ingredients, which are the same Valente supplies to many of NYC’s leading bakeries, included: King Arthur Flour, Butter, Yeast, Salt, Baking soda
